TESA staff support is provided by Good Company Associates (GCA), which has years of experience representing coalitions of competitors allied to address common industry policy objectives. The firm provides sophisticated market support and business development consulting to a range of energy-related clients.
GCA has managed/represented the following coalitions:
• Wind Coalition
• National Association of Energy Services Companies in Texas
• Fuel Cells Texas
• Distributed Generation Coalition
• Advanced Meter Coalition
• Demand Response Texas
• Thermal Energy Storage Coalition,
• Efficiency Texas, which includes BOMA Texas, the Texas Retailers, the Texas Hotel and Lodging Association, the Texas Restaurants Association, and Impact Texas
• Green Business Council with discretionary funding of the Governor, to foster and support regional coalitions of chambers of commerce, workforce boards and colleges
Robert J. King is the president and founder of Good Company Associates. He has overall responsibility for carrying out the mission of the Texas Energy Storage Alliance. Bob was formerly Director of Kenetech Corporation’s Texas Office, Vice President of Navigant’s predecessor RMI, and Director of Residential Energy Programs for the TVA, and served as staff to many state elected officials in Texas and California.
Suzi McClellan,a former state Public Utility Counsel and member of the ERCOT board, under both Governors Bush and Perry, and currently leads our state affairs activities.
Chris Winland a former IBM consultant, also brings experience from the Texas legislature, where he served as legislative director and chief of staff in the House focused on energy, technology and finance.
Sarah Goodfriend is a former Texas Public Utility Commissioner and economist. She has and continues to appear before the Texas PUC, ERCOT and the FERC on behalf of new entrants and emerging technologies.
